A student completing BL 104 lecture should be well educated in the
process of scientific discovery in biology, in the basic principles of
biology relating to cells, the chemical composition of cells, the
organization of cells, the metabolic activity of cells including
respiration and photosynthesis, the basis of heredity, and the process
of evolution. Prospective Biology majors attaining these goals will be
prepared to continue in BL 106 and subsequent Biology courses. Students
pursuing other science majors or curricula in Allied Health will have
acquired a broad foundation in Biological Science.
